Waitangi Wānanga 2025 Refund Policy & Amendments

In the case where a registered person is unable to attend the Waitangi Wānanga 2025 the name on the reregistration is able to be amended. Please email kiaora@tearahouoaotearoa.org.nz with any registration changes.
In this email please include the order number, the name of the person who is unable to attend along with the the updated name, role of attendee, email address and dietary requirements who will attend in their place.

Cancellations MUST be notified in writing to the National Wānanga events team by emailing kiaora@tearahouoaotearoa.org.nz.
Please allow up to 5 business days to process your refund request. It can then take up to 10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on the credit card the registration was paid from. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honoured for the rescheduled event date or may be refunded in full.
We will not allow any cancelled registrations to be substituted for another wānanga or any other Te Arahou resource.
Refund Request Dates:
Requests received between 9 December 2024 - 24 February 2025 will be refunded less 30% of the paid registration amount plus a $30 non-refundable transaction fee per registration.
Requests received after 25 February will be considered on a case by case basis, if accepted these will incur a $30 non-refundable transaction fee per registration. The amount refunded will be at the discretion of the National Wānanga organisers.
There will be no refunds for any booked delegate who does not attend on the day.

In the event of industrial disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances that disrupt the conference, the conference organisers accept no responsibility. The information on the conference website and in the printed collateral is correct at the time of publication. However, the conference organisers reserve the right to change information. The conference organisers disclaim any and all liability to any person in respect of the consequences of any failure to operate, accident or injury which may occur on services reserved.
The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute speakers and vary the advertised programme.
If the conference is cancelled for any reason beyond the organiser's control, there is no right of exchange and no obligation is assumed by the organisers for arranging a substitute speaker. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the conference, a refund of registration fees & functions may not be possible and is at the discretion of Te Arahou o Aoteroa. Where an event may be postponed and the option of re-attending is not suitable, a cancellation can be made by writing to the conference organiser and on acceptance, fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred and subject to supplier contractual agreements. -
Delegates are encouraged to take out personal travel and medical insurance which includes loss or damage of personal possessions, including loss of registration and accommodation fees through cancellation.
