Te Tau Hautupua o Te Arahou

10 YEAR CELEBRATION

From humble beginnings to a nationwide revolution, Te Arahou (Māori Achievement Collaboratives) has demonstrated that courageous school leaders can positively influence the effectiveness of school-wide practices and strategies aimed at improving the educational outcomes of Māori students.

2013 - 2023

In 2013 when Māori Achievement Collaborative (MAC) formally began, there were 6 regional clusters, each with a  facilitator (also still working as a fulltime principal) supporting 47 kura/tumuaki.

Today we have 16 dedicated facilitators working with more than 470 kura/tumuaki across the whole of the motu.

Ten years on,

it is our time to pause and recognise the impact of this kaupapa in schools across Aotearoa, the courage of Māori and non-Māori leaders to engage with us and the wonderful people we have met along the way.

We invite you to join us for a formal dinner to acknowledge the commitment of our MAC pioneers and celebrate the successes achieved in the last ten years.
